This topic lists and describes the files and directories supplied
by HP with the OpenVMS Alpha operating system.
To go directly to a file description, type the following:
[directory] filename
Be sure to leave a space between the directory name and the
filename. For example:
SYS_FILES Subtopic? [SYSMGR] SYSTARTUP_VMS.COM
To extract the list of system files to a disk file, use a DCL
command in the following format:
$ LIBRARY/HELP/EXTRACT=(SYS_FILES)/OUTPUT=filename.HLP -
_$ SYS$HELP:HELPLIB.HLB
This command extracts the entire SYS_FILES help module to a
text file in your default directory. You can print, edit, or type
this file.
System files are located in a series of directories on the system
disk. Some of these directories are reserved for system use.
