    The .FLAGS INDEX and .NO FLAGS INDEX commands turn on and turn
    off recognition of the Index flag character (>).

    Formats

      .FLAGS INDEX  [k]

      .NO FLAGS INDEX

    Abreviated formats

      .FL INDEX  [k]

      .NFL INDEX

  1 - Parameter 

 k

    Specifies a character to replace the current flag character.

  2 - Default 

    .NO FLAGS INDEX - Recognition of the Index flag character (>) is
    turned off.
